This website is dedicated to providing information regarding Kentucky Lemon Law.

Kentucky Lemon Law

Kentucky's lemon law protects consumers' vehicles, new or leased, for one year or 12,000 miles, which ever comes first. The vehicles must have less than two axels and have had at least four unsuccessful attempts to repair a problem or defect. This problem or defect must substantially affect the vehicle's use, safety, or value. Vehicles such as motor homes and motorcycles and not covered.

Kentucky Arbitration

Kentucky's lemon law has mandatory arbitration; however, the decision is not binding (meaning you can sue if you are unhappy with the arbitration decision). Additionally, Kentucky is unique in that there is an arbitration component that works independently from the lemon law for vehicles that would otherwise not be eligible for treatment under the lemon law. The arbitration exception applies to new and leased vehicles for up to two years or 25,000 miles, which ever comes first.
